Growing out of Donald F. Durnbaugh’s vast research of the Brethren in Europe and Hedda Durnbaugh’s native background in Europe, this couple led six Brethren Heritage Tours in Europe between 1986 and 1998, and in cooperation with Rev. Randall and Peggy Yoder, the Durnbaughs led a seventh tour in 2000. These tours, largely under the sponsorship of Brethren Encyclopedia, Inc., have given participants a unique understanding of their Brethren faith heritage. The tour in 1995 was videotaped to enable the broad fellowship of Brethren and others to share in the inspiration and knowledge gained through such a tour.
